Hi everyone! It's been a while since the last update. Life... got in the way a bit. As did writer's block. However, we recently finished the Chapter 3 script, and are now working on putting Chapter 3 in the game. As part of this process, we've also made some updates to the backgrounds, as there are some characters this chapter that would blend in a bit too well with the 'red territory' background... I should also mention that Chapter 2 is completely finished, and all of our efforts are on Chapter 3 at the moment. We also have an idea of where to take Chapter 4, and perhaps even Chapter 5, so hopefully script-writing will go faster for future chapters. 

Our current plan for Chapter 3 is to work on the new sprites needed for some characters, as well as some lovely CGs. All of the text is already in the game, we just need to work on the visual presentation. I'm very excited for some of the CGs for this chapter!

Besides the enormous amount of Chapter 3 progress we've made, there isn't much else to report. There are some plans in the works for general improvements, and some other tweaks I've already made, however. Script-writing takes up a huge chunk of time, but it's difficult to start work on assets needed for a new chapter before the script is done beyond general character design and a few basic sprites. Progress will speed up a lot for the next few weeks and we may then go quiet again once Chapter 3 is finalized and we begin writing Chapter 4.

One last thing of note: we originally wanted to release duplicity loop in the spring, but that was a very ambitious deadline. At the moment we are aiming to finish it before the end of the year. At the moment, the script has 18,000 words, and we would like to have at least 10 chapters for the final game. There are also QoL features we want to add, like a CG gallery, that will take time to code into the game. We won't make any promises as to the release date, but this is a passion project, and we want to have it out for everyone to share in our passion as soon as possible.
